Job summary

TwelveLabs in San Francisco (remote) is seeking a Staff Backend Engineer for Internal Products to own and build internal tools that support model evaluation, dataset discovery, and agentic context curation. You will unify data and evaluation platforms used across science, product, and engineering teams.

You should have deep backend experience (Python or Go), strong system design instincts, and a track record shipping zero-to-one internal products with scalable architectures and robust access

Qualifications

• Strong backend engineer with depth in Python or Go.
• Experience designing robust data-driven services.
• Ability to ship internal products from zero to one.

Responsibilities

• Unify internal data and evaluation platform.
• Build a secure access layer over very large data.
• Make internal data discoverable and queryable across clouds with proper IAM.
• Incorporate real customer signal into datasets and evaluations.
• Support the internal agent that pulls context across tools and data.
