Job summary

Henry Schein One is seeking an experienced security leader to drive the application security program across R&D, QA, support and IT. This remote US role combines hands-on security with architecture reviews and mentoring, to secure AI-enabled development and protect patient data while supporting engineering teams.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant Information Security and/or Software Engineering experience.
• Fluency with AI/LLM-specific security risks and experience evaluating or securing AI-powered features.
• Excellent knowledge of secure application programming, coding life cycles and design.
• Excellent understanding of security principles, best practices architectures, tools, and processes.
• Advanced knowledge of multiple operating systems and hosting environments.
• Excellent knowledge of software and network architecture and standards.
• Excellent knowledge of authentication protocol building blocks and methods.
• Excellent ability to conduct threat assessments and risk assessment.
• Excellent ability to create risk-based measures and build security processes for various development methodologies.
• Excellent ability to communicate security objectives to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Advise and participate in design of secure products and architectures.
• Perform architecture security reviews, secure code reviews, and security testing.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to design and implement security-related systems and functionality.
• Monitor software usage and conduct forensics to verify security standards.
• Stay informed on web and client security developments and best practices.
• Provide leadership and guidance to security resources across teams.
• Communicate technical concepts to senior management.
• Participate in SDLC meetings to ensure seamless product delivery.
• Evaluate use of AI-assisted development tools for security purposes.
• Leverage AI/ML tools to enhance security testing and threat modeling.
• Mentor junior security engineers and influence technical decisions.
