Zeta Global is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead performance-advisor platforms, focusing on high-throughput, low-latency distributed systems for forecasting and recommendations. The role demands hands-on ownership, production-grade AI, and extensive backend expertise in scalable architectures.

You will work with AWS, Kubernetes, and modern AI tooling to deliver reliable systems, drive incident response, and influence architectural direction across teams, with an emphasis on observability

Qualifikationen

• 12+ years of professional software engineering experience building and operating production-grade distributed systems.
• Strong ownership of business-critical services with measurable performance improvements.
• Deep expertise in systems design, including service boundaries, concurrency, data modeling, failure handling, and scalability tradeoffs.
• Production experience with machine learning-driven systems, including serving, pipelines, and infrastructure.
• Experience operating large-scale cloud-native systems using AWS and modern CI/CD pipelines.

Aufgaben

• Design, build, and operate systems supporting forecasting and recommendations in production.
• Write production-quality code daily and own services end-to-end from design through on-call and incident resolution.
• Architect low-latency, high-throughput SaaS services, including APIs, data pipelines, model inference, and agent orchestration.
• Build and maintain agentic AI applications and tool-using agents with guardrails.
• Lead production incident response, post-incident analysis, and architectural reviews.
