Relativity is an AI-native legal tech company seeking a Staff Applied Scientist to advance multimodal document understanding and AI system reliability within the aiR platform. You will own the science of document vision, from vision-language modeling to evaluation standards that ensure defensible evidence and scalable performance.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in computer science or another quantitative discipline, with substantial applied AI/ML experience.
• Proven track record shipping and operating AI/ML systems at scale in collaboration with engineers.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the hardest, most ambiguous problems in the portfolio with clear, shippable solutions.
• Set cross-team standards for evaluation methods, modeling patterns, and quality bars.
• Lead readiness for flagship AI systems from problem framing to efficacy studies and production monitoring.
