Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Staff AI Engineer (Remote Eligible) to help build responsible and scalable AI systems that power banking experiences. You will partner with cross-functional teams to deliver AI-powered products, design and deploy AI software components, and advance foundational AI systems with cutting-edge techniques.

Remote work options available; strong collaboration with the IFX team. You will work with Open Source and SaaS tech like AWS Ultraclusters, Huggingface, VectorDBs, Nemo

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or AI with 8+ years of AI/ML experience, or Master's with 6+ years.
Experience programming with Python, Go, Scala, or Java (8+ years).
Experience deploying AI/ML solutions on cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.

Responsibilities

Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver AI-powered products.
Design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI software components (LLM inference, guardrails, evaluation).
Leverage Open Source and SaaS AI technologies to improve performance and observability.
Contribute to the technical vision and long-term roadmap of AI systems at Capital One.
