Job summary

Elevar Therapeutics is seeking a Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations in a remote, United States-based role. You will help ensure accurate monthly close, financial reporting under U.S. GAAP, and internal controls in collaboration with Finance, Procurement, and Regulatory teams.

You will work with NetSuite ERP, assist with month-end close, reconciliations, audits, and process improvements while supporting cross-functional stakeholders in a growing biotech environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• CPA certification or CPA candidacy preferred.
• Minimum of 2-5 years of accounting experience in pharma/biotech or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and record journal entries for month-end and year-end close.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Maintain supporting schedules for prepaid expenses, accruals, fixed assets, and other balance sheet accounts.
• Assist with monthly financial statement preparation and variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and company accounting policies.
• Review vendor invoices for accuracy and proper coding.
• Process employee expense reports in accordance with company travel and expense policies.
• Monitor vendor payments and resolve invoice discrepancies.
• Assist with purchase order matching and invoice approvals.
• Perform daily cash reconciliations and record banking transactions.
• Assist with cash forecasting and treasury reporting.
• Maintain the fixed asset register and coordinate asset verification.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting and audits.
