Job summary

EarthScope Consortium is hiring a Staff Accountant II-Generalist for a fully remote role in the United States. The candidate will support journal entries, reconciliations, month-end close, and cross-functional collaboration with accounting and finance teams.

Responsibilities include audit support, internal controls, and process improvements. Must have a relevant accounting background, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Qualifications

• Remote position; stable internet connection and EarthScope computer required.
• Two years accounting experience or an associate degree in accounting/finance.
• Experience with MS Office, Google Suite, Slack, Zoom, etc.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Support audits with documentation and analyses.
• Collaborate with departments to ensure policy compliance.
• Contribute to process improvements within finance.
