EarthScope Consortium is seeking a Staff Accountant II-Generalist for a fully remote role within the United States. You will perform varied accounting tasks, including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting, under supervision of the Functional Manager.

The position emphasizes accuracy, internal controls, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. The role supports month-end close, vendor payments, and audits, with up to 10% travel.

Qualifications

• Remote position requiring stable internet connection and EarthScope-issued computer
• Experience with MS Office, Google Suites, Slack, Zoom, etc.
• Two years accounting experience or an associate degree plus one year of accounting experience

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and compiling financial information.
• Develop reports for reconciliations, internal controls, and financial management upon request.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes and meet deadlines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies in financial data.
• Provide documentation and analysis for audits and internal reviews.
