Job summary

Simera is seeking a highly organized Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting activities and ensure accurate financial records. The role covers general ledger, reconciliations, AP/AR, and financial reporting, with emphasis on accuracy and process improvement.

Ideal candidates will have a solid understanding of accounting principles, excellent detail orientation, and ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Experience with GL, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Excel or Sheets and ERP/Accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions and journal entries.
• Maintain general ledger accounts and documentation.
• Perform reconciliations of bank, credit card, and balance sheets.
• Assist with AP/AR processes and invoicing.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, year-end close.
• Prepare financial analyses and schedules.
• Support audits and ensure policy compliance.
• Identify process improvements and maintain confidentiality.
