Simera is seeking a highly organized Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records. This role focuses on ensuring precise general ledger activity, timely reconciliations, and reliable financial reporting.

You will handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, and month-end tasks, while supporting audits and process improvements to enhance reporting accuracy. A detail-oriented mindset and strong collaboration with internal teams are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Experience with general ledger maintenance and reconciliations.
• Proficiency in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Record and review daily financial transactions and journal entries.
• Maintain general ledger accounts and documentation.
• Perform reconciliations of bank, credit card, and balance sheet accounts.
• Prepare invoices, payments, expenses, and account adjustments.
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing.
• Support audits with requested documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and reporting accuracy.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial information.
