Job summary

A+E Global Media is seeking a detail-oriented staff accountant to support day-to-day accounting and month-end close for Sales & Marketing. You will assist the Senior Accountant and Manager with allocations, journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting, ensuring accurate coding and timely close.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with SAP/Concur. Remote/hybrid work options are available; healthcare and 401(k) matching are offered.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 1–3 years of accounting experience preferred.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills required.
• Experience with SAP, Concur, or similar accounting systems preferred.
• Experience with AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Shortcut AI) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day accounting and month-end close activities for Sales & Marketing.
• Assist Senior Accountant and Manager with operational accounting processes and reconciliations.
• Prepare 40–60 journal entries per month including accruals and close adjustments.
• Validate account coding and review supporting documentation.
• Assist with recurring entries, Concur reporting, and reconciliations.
• Meet tight close deadlines and keep organized files in shared drives.
• Support monthly operating expense and G&A schedules for review.
• Assist with variance tracking and documentation collection.
• Support balance sheet reconciliations and related docs.
• Provide accounting support to team and internal partners.
• Assist with SAP-related requests and departmental duties.
• Use Excel, SAP, Concur, and reporting tools to improve efficiency.
• Support ad hoc projects and reporting requests.
