Job summary

Thoughtworks is seeking a Service Reliability Engineer (SRE) to lead reliability and performance across complex infrastructure. You will drive automation, monitoring, and incident response, collaborating with client teams and Thoughtworks architects to improve design and operations.

A rotation-based, 24x7 availability mindset is expected. Ideal candidates communicate clearly in English, mentor junior SREs, and align work with client SLAs and business KPIs.

Qualifications

• Proficient in one or more high-level languages such as Python, Go, Shell, Ruby or Java.
• Experience with DevOps, GitOps and observability automation in CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of IAC tools for provisioning infrastructure.
• Expertise in observability, logs, tracing and monitoring tooling.

Responsibilities

• Understand SRE goals from technical and business perspectives.
• Improve reliability with fault-tolerant mechanisms and faster MTTR/MTTD.
• Enhance incident management with prioritization, triage, post-mortems and actions.
• Interface with client executives and manage production incidents.
• Collaborate with client teams to influence design and reliability improvements.
• Mentor other SREs and support capacity planning and scalability assessments.
• Work with Thoughtworks teams to adopt best practices from day one.
