Job summary

Sporty Group is seeking a DevOps/SRE professional to join a team of DevOps and DBA experts. You will improve infrastructure and processes across countries we’re deployed in and enable rapid deployments to new countries.

The role emphasizes Kubernetes platform stability, GitOps-driven provisioning, and cloud operations management. You will monitor cloud infrastructure with autoscaling, alerts, and Grafana dashboards, own on-call duties, and drive post-incident reviews while mentoring junior team

Qualifications

• 3+ years DevOps / SRE / platform engineering experience.
• Must be based in Europe.
• Experience independently leading the planning and deployment of a project.
• Strong cloud experience (AWS) and Kubernetes (EKS) familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Work with a team of DevOps and DBA professionals.
• Improve infrastructure and processes across deployed countries and enable rapid deployments to new countries.
• Improve Kubernetes platform stability and efficiency; optimize resources and reduce costs via GitOps-first practices.
• Monitor cloud infrastructure with autoscaling, alerting pipelines, and Grafana dashboards.
• Own weekday on-call operations; perform root cause analysis and drive post-incident reviews.
• Design alert pipelines to minimize noise and prevent alert fatigue.
• Define and maintain SLIs/SLOs to drive reliability improvements.
• Take ownership of cloud operation activities; liaise with security agencies for audits and internal sweeps.
• Mentor less-experienced team members.
