Job summary
Sporty is seeking a Weekend Site Reliability Engineer to join a global DevOps team. You will cover Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays with flexible days off, focusing on Kubernetes, GitOps, and cloud infrastructure across multiple countries.
You will optimize resources, reduce costs, and improve deployment patterns through automation and observability. The role demands strong communication, on-call experience, and mentoring of junior engineers, with a remote-first environment and a flexible
Qualifications
- 3+ years DevOps/platform engineering experience.
- Based in Europe, Asia, or LatAM.
- Experience leading planning and deployment of a project.
- Strong AWS cloud experience and resource optimization.
- Proficient with Kubernetes, EKS, ArgoCD and Helm.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with DevOps and DBA teams; Weekend SRE coverage.
- Improve infrastructure and deploy processes across countries.
- Enhance Kubernetes platform stability and efficiency.
- Monitor cloud infra with autoscaling, alerts, Grafana dashboards.
- Own weekend on-call incidents; perform RCA and post-mortems.
- Design alert pipelines to reduce noise and flooding.
- Define SLIs/SLOs and drive reliability improvements.
- Mentor junior team members.
