Profee Specialty Coder Sr. - OB/GYN/MFM (Remote)

• Location: 100% Remote
• Employment Type: Temp-to-Perm
• Schedule: Full-Time M-F (standard business hours)
• Eligible States: Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Georgia, and New Mexico only
• Pay: $30 - $36/ per hour based on experience and certification

Position Summary

The Profee Specialty Coder Sr. is responsible for accurately assigning ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes through comprehensive review of clinical documentation and diagnostic information. This role focuses on specialty coding for OB/GYN and Maternal Fetal Medicine services while maintaining a coding accuracy rate of 95% or greater.The coder will abstract and validate clinical data within Epic and other electronic medical record systems, ensure compliance with official coding guidelines, and collaborate with Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI), HIM, and provider teams to support accurate reimbursement and reduce claim denials.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required; copy must be submitted)
• Active coding certification required
• Minimum 5 years of professional fee coding experience after certification was obtained
• Experience coding OB/GYN and/or Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) services
• Proficient in Epic EMR
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding guidelines
• Demonstrated coding accuracy of 95% or greater
• Candidate profile must include online certification verification

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified OB/GYN Coding Specialist (COBGC) through AAPC
• FMC Credential
• Extensive experience with specialty professional fee coding in women's health services
