Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Maternal Fetal Medicine / OB Medical Coder for a fully remote contract opportunity. You will code MFM and OB/GYN encounters, focusing on surgeries, using CPT/ICD-10 and Epic, in a high-volume environment.

Ideal candidates have CPC/CCS/ RHIT or equivalents, 5+ years of professional fee coding experience in MFM/OB, strong accuracy and productivity, and the ability to collaborate with a Central Time zone remote team during core hours.

Qualifications

• Current coding certifications CPC/CPCA/CCS/CCS-P/RHIT or equivalent.
• Minimum 5+ years of professional fee coding experience.
• Experience in MFM and OB/GYN coding.
• Hands-on MFM surgeries coding experience.
• Proficient in Epic for coding and documentation review.
• Strong CPT/ICD-10 knowledge for maternal fetal services.
• Ability to work remotely with a focus on productivity and quality.
• Ability to collaborate with Central Time zone team during core hours.

Responsibilities

• Code MFM and OB/GYN encounters, including surgeries, with CPT/ICD-10.
• Review clinical documentation and assign appropriate codes.
• Manage high-volume coding queues meeting turnaround targets.
• Collaborate remotely with coding and clinical teams during core hours.
• Stay updated on payer guidelines and coding regs.
