Job summary

FSSI - Financial Statement Services Inc. is seeking a Microsoft SQL Database Administrator for our East Development team. This remote role supports candidates in FL, RI, MA, CT, NY, VT, TX, and AL, with hybrid/onsite options at Lincoln, RI or Orlando, FL.

You will administer SQL Server environments, ensure uptime, implement security and DR, and collaborate with IT and development teams to optimize databases across dev, test, and production.

Qualifications

• Experience administering Microsoft SQL Server environments.
• Strong knowledge of security, backup/recovery, and performance tuning.
• Ability to partner with developers to review DB designs and queries.

Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, monitor, patch, upgrade, and maintain SQL Server environments.
• Implement backup, recovery, and high-availability strategies.
• Monitor availability, performance, blocking, and storage utilization.
• Tune performance via indexing, queries, and plans.
• Support CI/CD and DevOps deployments for databases.
• Automate routine tasks with PowerShell and T-SQL.
