Financial Statement Services, Inc. is seeking a Microsoft SQL Database Administrator to ensure availability, security, and performance of SQL Server environments across development, test, and production.

You will work with IT, development, and business teams to implement backups, high availability, and disaster recovery strategies. We value ownership, proactive problem solving and strong communication while managing security, change management, and automation using PowerShell and CI/CD practices

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT/DB Admin or equivalent experience.
• 2–4 years of SQL Server administration experience.
• Microsoft DP-300 or equivalent data-platform cert preferred.
• Experience with Azure/AWS cloud SQL is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Administer, configure, monitor, patch, and maintain SQL Server environments across dev/test/prod.
• Install/configure SQL Server instances, databases, jobs, linked servers, and maintenance plans.
• Monitor availability, performance, blocking, deadlocks, waits, and storage.
• Perform SQL performance tuning and index optimization.
• Design and maintain backup/recovery strategies meeting RPO/RTO goals.
• Support high-availability and DR technologies (Always On, log shipping, replication).
• Manage security, roles, permissions, encryption, auditing, and access controls.
• Automate routine tasks with PowerShell and T-SQL scripting.
• Collaborate with developers to review designs and deployment scripts for performance and security.
• Participate in CI/CD and DevOps release planning and post-deployment monitoring.
• Maintain documentation and runbooks.
