ImageTrend, LLC. is seeking a Database Developer to enhance performance, security, and maintainability of product databases across SQL Server and Azure platforms.

You will partner with Development and DBA teams to review changes, optimize queries, and implement indexing strategies. The role involves incident response, backup/recovery, capacity planning, and automation, with opportunities to contribute to scalable database design and compliance efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Database Developer in enterprise/ SaaS environments.
• Advanced SQL proficiency with reviewing, troubleshooting, and tuning complex queries.
• Experience interpreting SQL Server execution plans and diagnosing bottlenecks (indexing, blocking, deadlocks, IO, CPU).
• Experience designing indexing strategies for transactional and analytical workloads.
• Experience with production database environments and cross-functional collaboration.
• Knowledge of database security, backups, disaster recovery, high availability, and compliance.
• Experience with Azure data platforms and monitoring/diagnostic tools.
• Experience ETL/ELT, data warehouses, lakehouse architectures, data lakes, and large datasets.
• Automation using PowerShell, T-SQL, CI/CD pipelines or scripting.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; ability to collaborate across teams.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.

Responsabilités

• Review SQL queries, stored procedures, and deployment scripts before releases with emphasis on performance and scalability.
• Assess execution plans and analyze performance metrics and bottlenecks.
• Monitor query performance in production using approved tools to identify regressions and bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with developers and DBAs to tune queries and data-access patterns.
• Recommend and test indexing strategies balancing performance and maintenance.
• Provide database design guidance on tables, keys, constraints, and data types.
• Support performance testing and release readiness documentation.
• Coach developers on SQL best practices and execution plans.
• Monitor health, availability, security, and reliability of production and non-production DB environments.
• Administer SQL Server and Azure data platforms (Azure SQL MI/DB, Hyperscale, Databricks).
• Support backup, recovery, DR, HA, patching, and validation activities.
• Investigate incidents involving performance degradation, blocking, deadlocks, and data integrity issues.
• Automate maintenance, monitoring, and reporting processes.
• Maintain technical documentation on configurations and procedures.
• Ensure HIPAA-related controls and regulatory compliance.
• Participate in on-call rotation and travel as required.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
