Job summary

HealthPRO Pediatrics, a division of HealthPro Heritage, seeks a part-time Special Education Teacher (SPED) to deliver home-based instruction in Selden, NY for the 2025–2026 school year.

This role offers one-on-one student support with competitive pay of $60–$65 per hour and the opportunity to impact students’ IEP goals in a home setting.

Responsibilities include collaborating with school staff and families, conducting assessments, delivering SPED sessions, and maintaining required documentation.

Qualifications

• Requires active SPED teaching license in New York
• Experience collaborating with diverse families is preferred
• Continuing education and professional development encouraged

Responsibilities

• Consult and collaborate with school staff and families regarding students’ educational deficits
• Conduct initial screenings and contribute to IEPs with present levels, goals and treatment recommendations
• Provide SPED sessions using current best practices per the IEP
• Maintain required district documentation including notes and IEP summaries
