Job summary

Humana is seeking a Specialty Operations Pharmacy Technician to support prior authorization requests for specialty medications. The role includes collaborating with providers to interpret policies, handling administrative tasks, and ensuring timely processing of authorizations.

The position is remote with potential travel to Humana offices for training, requires active state Pharmacy Technician certification, and a national certification (PTCB/ExCPT). Monday–Friday schedule with 40 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacy Technician Certification with state of residence.
• National Certification: PTCB (CPhT) or ExCPT.
• Experience as a Pharmacy Technician or in a pharmacy call center.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Prior Authorization requests for specialty medications.
• Collaborate with provider offices to interpret policies and complete requests.
• Perform varied administrative/operational tasks and follow up on assignments.
