Job summary

Oregon Connections Academy seeks a Special Education Teacher to deliver specially designed instruction from your home office in Oregon, serving students with special needs through virtual instruction. You will manage instructional programs and participate in all steps of the IEP process to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.

You will collaborate with teachers and specialists, develop and monitor IEPs/504 plans, administer state testing, maintain data in the LMS and SPED

Qualifications

• Degree in Special Education or related field.
• Valid Oregon Special Education certificate.
• Experience with IDEA policy and/or administration.
• Strong technology skills (MS Office and Google Suite).
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Highly organized and punctual.
• Willingness to travel for events (marketing, state testing).
• Ability to work remotely.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instruction to students with special needs via virtual platform.
• Develop, write, implement, and monitor IEPs and 504 plans.
• Monitor student progress, complete report cards and conduct parent conferences.
• Communicate regularly with student’s IEP team, including parents/learning coaches and providers.
• Provide direct services to students via web-conferencing as needed.
• Schedule and conduct IEP-related meetings in a virtual environment.
• Coordinate with related service providers per IEPs.
• Maintain data in LMS and SPED software.
• Assist with administering state testing and required adaptations.
• Other duties as assigned.
