Job summary

Edmentum seeks a Full Time Virtual Special Education Teacher to deliver live, on-camera instruction to students in a remote-first environment. You will personalize learning, use performance data to close gaps, and maintain transparent communication with families and partner schools.

You must hold a Bachelor’s in Education or related field and an active NJ Special Education license (grades 6–12). Prior virtual or in-person teaching experience is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field and an active New Jersey state teaching license in Special Education (grades 6–12).
• Experience teaching in virtual and/or in-person settings and comfort with live online classrooms.
• Hands-on experience with online learning platforms and virtual instruction tools, plus standard productivity software.
• Ability to read student performance data and adapt live instruction accordingly.

Responsibilities

• Deliver live, on-camera instruction for five or more hours per day on scheduled instructional days.
• Personalize instruction using student performance data and identify learning gaps.
• Provide timely, meaningful feedback and maintain accurate records for students and families.
• Build relationships with students and families through proactive, professional communication.
• Collaborate with school partners and Edmentum colleagues to ensure consistent support.
