Edmentum is a dynamic educator and student-focused company delivering tech-enabled learning solutions. We seek a Virtual Social Science Teacher to deliver live, on-camera instruction and personalize learning to each student in a remote-first environment.

You will connect with students daily, use performance data to tailor lessons, and maintain clear communication with families and schools to support student success. A Bachelor's in Education with an active state license is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
• Active state teaching license in Indiana or Minnesota (Social Science 6-12).
• Experience teaching in virtual and/or in-person settings.
• Comfortable with live online classroom.
• Hands-on experience with online learning platforms and virtual instruction tools.
• Data-informed: read student performance data and adjust live instruction.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Organized and self-directed with remote caseload management.
• Committed to ongoing professional growth and staying current on K-12 curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Deliver live, on-camera synchronous instruction for five or more hours per day, on scheduled instructional days.
• Use student performance data to personalize instruction and identify learning gaps.
• Provide timely, meaningful feedback and maintain accurate records.
• Build genuine relationships with students and families through proactive communication.
• Collaborate with school partners and Edmentum colleagues to ensure consistent, high-quality support across learning experiences.
