Stellar Virtual seeks a dedicated Special Education Teacher for a remote role serving students in grades 9-12 on our virtual platform. The ideal candidate has IEP expertise, strong communications, and a commitment to inclusive online learning.

Texas Special Education certification for grades 7-12 (or 6-12) and a Mathematics certification are required to support diverse learners across the program.

Qualifications

• Two years of successful experience with students with disabilities.
• Ability to work independently with a remote setup.
• Experience using Google Workspace in professional/academic settings.
• Clear written communication with high clarity.
• Reliable private internet with sufficient speeds.
• Strong knowledge of IEP process and related laws.
• Experience creating accommodations and modifications.
• Experience with online learning platforms and edtech tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work both independently and with teams online.
• Passion for students with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs per Texas regulations.
• Conduct virtual IEP meetings and collaborate with parents, students, teachers, and service providers.
• Ensure IEP goals are measurable and aligned with curriculum.
• Adapt curriculum and materials for diverse virtual learners.
• Provide direct and indirect instruction in virtual settings.
