Job summary

Global Impact Group LLC / Global Language System is seeking an English-to-Spanish translator to support Federal Student Aid (FSA) communications. Assignments may include forms, publications, fact sheets, website content, infographics, and multimedia scripts for students and families.

The role emphasizes accuracy, adherence to the FSA glossary and style guide, research of terminology, and timely delivery of files in the specified formats.

Qualifications

• Professional English-to-Spanish translation experience and excellent written Spanish.
• Experience with education, financial aid, government, or other regulated content preferred.
• Proficiency with Word and translation memory or CAT tools; Phrase experience preferred.
• Ability to protect confidential information, follow terminology controls, and meet deadlines.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in translation, Spanish, linguistics, or a related field, or equivalent professional translation experience.

Responsibilities

• Translate English content into accurate, clear, plain-language Spanish while preserving its meaning and intent.
• Apply FSA’s English-Spanish glossary, writing style guide, and assignment instructions consistently.
• Research federal student aid terminology and raise questions about unclear or inconsistent source text.
• Check translations for grammar, completeness, terminology, formatting, and links before delivery.
• Resolve reviewer feedback and participate in terminology discussions when requested.
• Deliver files in the specified format by each work order deadline.
