Job summary

IXL Learning is seeking a Spanish Language Arts Content Writer to create PK–5 Spanish language arts content for native Spanish-speaking students in U.S. classrooms and dual-language programs. This is a remote, 1099 consulting role for three months with a possible extension.

You will write engaging passages and questions, collaborate with curriculum designers and editors, and adhere to our in-house Spanish style guide. Feedback may be provided in English or Spanish.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in creative writing, Spanish literature or linguistics, or related field.
• Exceptional writing skills with strong Spanish grammar and usage.
• Strong critical-thinking, research, and problem-solving skills.
• Efficient and organized while handling multiple projects.
• Professional writing experience in educational or children's content preferred.
• Proficiency in English to read instructions and feedback.

Responsibilities

• Research informational topics for a Pre-K–5 Spanish-speaking audience (ages 4 through 11).
• Write sentences, paragraphs, and longer passages for online activities.
• Craft questions, answers, and explanations based on guidelines and samples.
• Adhere to conventions from our in-house Spanish style guide.
• Accept and implement feedback, which may be provided in English or Spanish.
