Job summary

Welocalize is seeking a Spanish (Spain) Multimedia Content Reviewer to write and review linguistically accurate content for multimedia platforms. You will localize, adapt, and copy-edit diverse content while maintaining high quality and cultural relevance.

The ideal candidate has journalism experience, strong linguistic skills, and a passion for music, film, and tech. Remote work flexibility and collaboration with a global localization team are expected.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in journalism or related field; 2+ years in journalism, copywriting, or copy-editing media content with writing samples
• Experience in translation and localization of multimedia content
• Ability to detect issues and make sound judgments across large content pools
• Wide knowledge of music, TV, cinema, gaming, and pop culture
• Own language market and make confident linguistic decisions
• Detail-oriented, able to multitask and meet deadlines
• Fluent written and verbal English; native Spanish (Spain)
• Strong computer literacy; good knowledge of iOS/macOS
• Ability to work independently and remotely
• Collaborative in multicultural environments

Responsibilities

• Localize, translate and adapt content across multimedia, legal, technical and marketing categories
• Write new copy for music, TV, app store apps, video on demand and game services
• Perform linguistic review of own work and others' within localization team
• Copy-edit and fact-check content for accuracy
• Perform LQA testing on content published on live platforms
• Conduct market-specific research on localization practices for target audiences
• Transcribe spoken content such as lyrics
• Report on data/assets across media and content types
• Create training materials and ensure team is trained on terminology and style
• Collaborate with global language team via meetings and emails to calibrate terminology and style
