Job summary

Ferguson Enterprises, LLC seeks a motivated Internal Auditor to lead SOX testing across major business processes. You will document controls, produce working papers, and present results to management, driving optimization of the audit approach.

The role supports remote work (East Coast hours) with potential hybrid arrangements from Newport News, VA, and requires 2–3 years in audit or finance, plus SOX experience and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required.
• Professional certifications (CPA/CIA/CISA) or clear path to obtain one preferred.
• 2–3 years in audit or finance; Big 4 experience a plus.
• SOX implementation experience a plus; familiarity with auditing standards (IIA, PCAOB).

Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end business process walkthroughs and document key controls.
• Produce high-quality SOX working papers with tests, results, and conclusions.
• Present findings to management and advocate audit recommendations.
• Lead testing of major business processes within the SOX Program with team coordination.
• Communicate effectively with audit clients and leadership; support special projects as needed.
