Job summary

eBay is seeking a Senior Internal Auditor to support the SOX compliance program and participate in selected operational audits. The role focuses on managing SOX activities from planning through reporting, coordinating with process owners, and addressing control risks with external auditors. The ideal candidate has strong experience testing SOX controls and evaluating ICFR, plus the ability to work independently and manage deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.
• At least four years of experience in public accounting, SOX compliance, internal audit, risk management, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of ICFR and SOX compliance requirements.
• Experience participating in operational audits, risk assessments, and process improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned activities for the annual SOX compliance program, including process walkthroughs and testing controls.
• Coordinate SOX testing schedules and documentation for assigned processes.
• Identify, document, and communicate control deficiencies; track remediation and verify actions.
• Coordinate with external auditors by scheduling walkthroughs and providing documentation.
• Maintain audit management and compliance tracking systems and reporting.
• Plan and conduct selected operational audits and risk assessments.
• Perform audit procedures in line with internal standards and methodologies.
• Evaluate business processes to mitigate risk and improve efficiency.
• Build relationships with stakeholders across departments and levels.
• Support special projects and other internal audit initiatives.
