Job summary

Sanner America, headquartered in Durham, NC, seeks a Business Development Manager to identify and win new opportunities in medical devices and drug delivery. The role covers the Southeast/East Coast and can be fully remote within the territory.

Ideal candidates are hunters with a proven record in CDMO services, engineering, or related fields, capable of managing multi-stakeholder deals and building long-term partnerships across engineering, operations, and quality teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of successful business development and new-business sales experience within medical devices, drug delivery or life sciences.
• Proven track record of originating, developing and closing complex, high-value opportunities.
• Experience managing multi-stakeholder sales cycles from development to manufacturing.
• Experience selling medical device CDMO or related services with a consultative approach.
• Ability to travel 40–60% across the assigned territory, including international travel when needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic territory business plan to hit revenue and profitability targets.
• Generate new-logo opportunities through outbound prospecting, networking, referrals, and events.
• Prospect, cultivate, and convert opportunities in medical devices and drug delivery.
• Maintain qualified pipeline and prioritize opportunities based on fit and potential.
• Lead the full sales process from prospecting to contract execution and handover to operations.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Marketing and Quality to deliver compelling proposals.
• Provide market intelligence to inform commercial strategy and cross-sell capabilities.
