DMI is seeking a Solaris/Linux System Administrator to join our team. The role involves maintaining and administering Oracle on Solaris/Linux, configuring Apache, and supporting multi-tiered clustered environments with DoD-related systems.

A BA/BS with 10 years of experience is required, along with a Secret security clearance and U.S. citizenship. Remote, US-based location. The position emphasizes strong analytical skills and team coordination.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining and administering Oracle on Solaris and LINUX
• Administer and setup Apache
• Work with multi-tiered clustered environments
• Serves as the lead specialist on Solaris issues and provide team coordination
• Provide technical and infrastructure support services for Solaris OS based servers and systems, including Systems Administration of UNIX (Solaris), DNSSec, SFTP and other Solaris based services
• Administers and configures network hardware and software resources, such as servers, DNS, databases, and provides protocol and connectivity support to developers of web-enabled applications
• Develops, monitors, and maintains utilities and procedures to perform periodic maintenance, backups, shutdowns, recoveries, and diagnostics
• Evaluates, recommends, and installs software and hardware to facilitate and monitor network throughput and control load balancing
• Ability to produce custom reports from the help desk tickets submitted by the users in timely manner.
• Extensive experience communicating with the software system users on the regular basis to address their issues/requests.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Functional knowledge of relevant DoD hosted software systems.
