Job summary

SunPower is seeking a Field Service Technician in Peoria, IL. This is an associate-level role with remote work and local travel, a 40-hour work week and compensation of $23–$28 per hour.

The position emphasizes troubleshooting solar systems and coordinating with the office to ensure quality service. As the on-site primary contact, you will diagnose and repair SunPower solar systems (Enphase, SolarEdge, SMA), perform site assessments, complete reports, and communicate effectively with customers

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience with residential solar installation.
• Familiar with PV systems and troubleshooting.
• Valid driver’s license; able to pass background check.
• OSHA 10 certification or willing to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Manage your schedule to complete several time-sensitive tasks daily.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair existing SunPower solar systems (Enphase, SolarEdge, SMA).
• Make corrections to recently installed solar systems to be inspection-ready.
• Turn on solar systems after installation and collect customer feedback.
• Conduct solar site assessments using smartphone and provided surveying equipment.
• Submit job reports for every scheduled event in a timely manner.
