Qualifications

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and analytical Remote Solar Energy Analyst to join their growing team. This position, based entirely remotely, will focus on evaluating solar energy projects, assessing their viability, and contributing to the strategic planning of our renewable energy portfolio. You will conduct in-depth market research, analyze performance data, and generate reports to support investment decisions and project development. Key Responsibilities

Analyze the technical and financial feasibility of potential solar energy projects across various geographic locations.
Develop and maintain financial models to forecast project returns, payback periods, and internal rates of return (IRR).
Conduct market research on solar technology trends, policy changes, and competitor activities.
Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations on project findings, recommendations, and performance analysis for management.
Utilize simulation software to model solar resource potential and energy production estimates.
Collaborate with internal teams, including project developers and engineers, to refine project strategies.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial modeling, project analysis, or solar energy project development.
Proficiency in advanced Excel functions, financial modeling techniques, and data analysis tools.
