Job summary

LMI is seeking an experienced Software Systems Architect to support the ATIS program. Working in an Agile Release Train, you will lead team-level architectural decisions, guide interface design, and ensure secure, scalable, and maintainable solutions within guardrails.

The role is highly technical, hands-on, and collaborative, requiring DoD clearance or ability to obtain one, strong cloud experience (AWS), RESTful APIs, CI/CD and DevSecOps practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of software engineering/architecture experience.
• Experience with cloud environments (AWS preferred).
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and integration patterns.
• DoD security clearance or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Lead team-level solution design translating requirements into technical designs.
• Develop and maintain architectural runway with enablers and dependencies.
• Lead interface and integration design across apps, APIs, data sources, and external systems.
• Define non-functional requirements including security, performance, reliability, and observability.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure CI/CD, automated testing, deployment, and security.
• Engage in hands-on implementation, reviews, and troubleshooting with developers.
• Identify cross-team dependencies early to reduce delivery risk.
• Promote reusable solutions and reduce tribal knowledge.
