DEFCON AI is seeking a Software Project Lead to own the software design, architecture, and delivery for a dedicated program. You will lead a small team, stay hands-on when needed, and coordinate with a PM, SMEs, data scientists, and security personnel to ensure a durable, deployable system.

You will manage unclassified-to-secure delivery, data contracts, and CI/CD hygiene, while aligning with government timelines and customer expectations for secure, real‑world deployment.

Responsibilities

• Own the software design, architecture, and delivery for the program.
• Be accountable for delivery; manage scope, schedule, and risk; raise issues early.
• Favor proven open-source and off-the-shelf tools over building from scratch.
