Job summary

onX offers a full-time internship for engineers (mobile, web, or backend). You will work with a world-class team to enhance our mapping technology and create memorable outdoor experiences for customers.

Location options include onsite in Montana or remote from select locations, with Basecamps near several U.S. cities. Compensation ranges from $30 to $35 per hour and varies by degree level and year completed.

Qualifications

• Strong CS fundamentals and pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in CS or related field.
• Will have completed Sophomore year by internship start.
• Experience or coursework in data structures, algorithms, and software design.
• Experience with coding in Java, JavaScript, Python (Swift, Kotlin, Go, Elixir as used in the stack).
• Understanding of software quality and testing practices.
• Curious, collaborative, and team-focused.

Responsibilities

• Gain real-world engineer experience by collaborating with the team to build key areas of the app experience.
• Contribute to practical coding tasks and learn from a world-class engineering team.
• At internship end, demonstrate a part of the app you helped build for customers.
