Qualifications

• BS or MS in computer science, software engineering, or related discipline with 4+ years of progressive software engineering experience.
• Strong programming experience with Python or another modern server-side language (Python preferred).
• Experience building web applications or APIs using frameworks (Django, Flask, Ruby on Rails).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, deploy, and sustain full-stack applications, data services, and automation for scientific and operational users.
• Partner with scientists, engineers, informatics, and stakeholders to clarify requirements.
• Improve efficiency by reducing manual handoffs and data entry across systems.
• Develop APIs, data models, and access layers across multiple data sources.
• Integrate applications with laboratory systems, data pipelines, and enterprise platforms.
• Contribute to shared engineering practices like CI/CD, testing, and observability.
