Job summary

Thrivent Financial is offering a 12-week Associate Software Engineer - Sophomore Intern Summer 2027 program, remote in the United States. The internship provides meaningful work in software development and exposure to AI, HTML, JavaScript, and data analytics while collaborating with a diverse team and mentors.

You should be a current sophomore with a strong GPA, excellent problem-solving, and the ability to work full-time during normal business hours.

Qualifications

• Current Sophomore in an undergraduate degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, CIS, or MIS.
• GPA 3.0+ required.
• Disciplined with strong personal management and organization skills.

Responsibilities

• Build creative technical solutions to tackle complex problems within the business.
• Assist in application development (AI, HTML, JavaScript, Data Design and Analytics, etc.).
• Work within a diverse team to deliver solutions using Scrum, Kanban, etc.
• Apply planning, analysis, detailed design, coding, and testing to support implementation.
• Learn Thrivent’s processes and standards for development and deployment of software applications.
• Perform day-to-day maintenance and troubleshooting of software assets under supervision.
