Job summary

Thrivent offers a 12-week Software Developer Internship designed to give college students meaningful work within a Fortune 500 financial services organization. This program is a key part of Thrivent’s entry-level talent pipeline, with assignments to sharpen skills across multiple business areas.

Ideal interns contribute to application development (AI, HTML, JavaScript, data design and analytics) and collaborate in cross-functional teams using Scrum or Kanban under mentorship.

Qualifications

• Current Sophomore in an undergraduate degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, CIS, or MIS (Dec 2028–May 2029).
• GPA 3.0+ required with strong academic performance.
• Ability to work full-time during normal business hours and without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Build creative technical solutions to tackle complex problems within the business.
• Assist in application development (AI, HTML, JavaScript, Data Design and Analytics).
• Work in a diverse team and deliver solutions using Scrum, Kanban, etc.
• Support implementation across platforms under supervision.
