Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Software Engineer II for a Healthcare space client. This role focuses on building reliable software that supports member enrollment workflows and improves systems powering eligibility verification and activation.

You will work with experienced engineers to deliver scalable web app code, strengthen platform stability, and adopt AI‑assisted development practices in a highly collaborative environment. Location: Remote in the US (US-based candidates only).

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of writing readable, tested, and efficient code.
• Experience with Ruby or Python.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and MySQL.
• Knowledge of designing secure APIs and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with LLMs and GenAI best practices.
• Experience directing AI coding agents and cloud infra (AWS).

Responsibilities

• Design and implement tools that support member enrollment, including eligibility verification and activation.
• Contribute high-quality web application code and help maintain stability through code reviews and testing.
• Hands-on coding while collaborating with experienced engineers.
• Utilize agentic coding workflows with Claude Code and GitHub Copilot.
• Foster team collaboration through idea sharing and technology adoption.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to help manage reliability issues in the enrollment pipeline.
