Job summary

The Fresh Market is seeking a Software Engineer I to join a fully remote team. You will work on enterprise-level web and mobile applications with .NET, SQL Server, and modern UI frameworks, developing scalable solutions in an n-tier architecture.

Reporting to the Solutions Delivery Manager, you will collaborate across teams, document solutions, and participate in code reviews while maintaining high availability and quality standards. Travel may be required occasionally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
• 5+ years equivalent work experience (internship or college experience acceptable).
• Advanced skills with C#, Entity Framework, Lambda Expressions, and Telerik Kendo UI framework.
• NET, Xamarin
• JavaScript, jQuery, JSON, XML
• Visual Studio 2017/2019
• SQL Server 2016/2019
• SQL Server Reporting Services
• Microsoft Enterprise Library or similar patterns
• MVC and MVVM design patterns
• Team Foundation Server and DevOps
• Strong programming fundamentals and clear documentation
• Excellent communication and collaboration in Agile SCRUM

Responsibilities

• Document and define solutions with diagrams, code comments, and clear code.
• Maintain, support, test, document, and develop applications and SQL reports.
• Work with team to analyze requirements, design and document formal solutions, and manage implementation.
• Update technical skills and participate in education opportunities.
• Follow SDLC and architectural standards.
• Communicate project progress to manager.
• Provide IT/office support as required.
• Initiate code reviews for deployments.
• Adopt new patterns and technologies for the team.
• Lead small projects independently.
• On-call support in rotation.
• Travel may be required for off-site management.
