Job summary

McKesson is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, enhance, and support mission-critical pharmacy automation software. You will work across Windows desktop apps, backend services, and hardware integrations, collaborating with product, QA, and operations teams to solve complex technical challenges.

You will translate requirements into reliable software, contribute to architectural decisions, and participate in an on-call rotation.

Qualifications

Degree or equivalent experience; 4+ years of professional software development.
Experience building Windows-based applications with C++ and MFC.
Solid background in multi-threaded or distributed systems.
Relational databases (SQL Server, MySQL) and SQL proficiency.
Version control with Git and CI/CD practices.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, deploy, and support software for large-scale pharmacy automation systems.
Enhance Windows-based applications using C++/MFC; work on backend services and RESTful APIs.
Build scalable back-end services, databases, and integrations with hardware systems.
Collaborate with product, QA, operations, and customers to resolve issues and improve performance.
Participate in on-call rotation and root-cause analysis for production incidents.
