Job summary

Alignerr is seeking Software Engineers in the Boston area to help shape AI-generated code by building, evaluating, and improving AI systems that understand and write software. This role combines hands‑on coding with rigorous feedback to train AI to think like a real developer.

You will write solutions, review AI outputs, and provide expert notes that make coding assistants safer, faster, and more reliable. This is a fully remote, flexible hourly contract with 10–40 hours per week, allowing you

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficient in one or more programming languages listed.
• Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• Clear written communicator with independent work habits.

Responsibilities

• Write, debug, and optimize code across a range of languages, frameworks, and problem domains
• Review and evaluate AI-generated code for correctness, efficiency, readability, and best practices
• Identify bugs, logic errors, security issues, and performance bottlenecks in AI outputs
• Provide structured, detailed feedback explaining why code works — or doesn't
• Design challenging coding prompts and edge-case scenarios to stress-test AI capabilities
• Compare and rank multiple AI-generated solutions based on engineering quality
• Work independently and asynchronously — fully on your own schedule
