Job summary

Alignerr is seeking a skilled Back End Developer for a fully remote hourly contract role that supports AI infrastructure. You will design, build, and optimize server-side services, data pipelines, and APIs that power cutting-edge AI products, from model serving to data processing.

You’ll work with engineers, researchers, and product leads across time zones. The role emphasizes robust, well-documented code, reliability, and performance.

Qualifications

• Experience with back-end languages such as Python, Go, Java, Node.js, or Rust.
• Strong RESTful API design and microservices knowledge.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Proficient in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and CI/CD.
• Experience with Git and containerization.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain back end services, APIs, and data pipelines.
• Build scalable server-side architecture to support AI workloads.
• Write clean, well-documented, and testable code.
• Integrate with databases, queues, cloud services, and 3rd-party APIs.
• Troubleshoot issues and participate in architectural decisions.
• Work asynchronously with distributed teams.
