Job summary

Canonical is hiring a Software Engineer for Ceph & Distributed Storage. You will write Python and Golang software, work with OpenStack, Ceph and Kubernetes to scale distributed storage, and collaborate with a globally distributed team. Travel several times a year is expected.

The role is remote, based in the EMEA or Americas regions. You will contribute to production-grade software and open-source powered platforms the world relies on.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, STEM or similar field.
• Experience writing modern, maintainable Python.
• Experience with Ceph storage.

Responsibilities

• Write high-quality Python and Golang software.
• Collaborate with a globally distributed team.
• Debug issues and deliver robust code.
• Document best practices for operating high-quality operators.
• Contribute to delivery, operations and lifecycle management of Ceph storage.
