Job summary

Mackin Talent seeks a Software Engineer for a remote UK-based assignment to build and operate automation that keeps a large UGC application healthy in production across surfaces such as VR, mobile and PC cloud streaming.

You will contribute to release pipelines, crash triage, incident detection, and AI-assisted tooling to repair code and reduce on-call work, while ensuring CI/CD remains healthy as dependencies evolve.

Qualifications

8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
Proven experience building and operating CI/CD, build, release, and cloud deployment pipelines at scale.
Experience operating cloud services and server-side fleets in production.
Experience building or operating AI-assisted developer tooling.
Experience diagnosing broken builds and tracing root-causes.
Experience production monitoring, crash triage, and incident response.
Track record reducing on-call load through automation.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain automation that keeps a large VR application healthy in production.
Maintain and improve AI-assisted code repair systems.
Develop tooling to identify broken builds and pinpoint root causes.
Monitor production quality metrics and respond to regressions and outages.
Reduce manual on-call burden through automation.
Complete required infrastructure migrations to keep CI/CD pipelines functional.
