Job summary

Thrivent is recruiting Software Developer Interns for a 12-week summer program designed to give college students meaningful work experience within a Fortune 500 financial services organization. You will work on application development tasks across AI, HTML, JavaScript, data design and analytics, within a diverse, collaborative team and under a mentor.

Ideal candidates are sophomores with strong academic records (GPA 3.0+), high technical aptitude, and proven problem-solving and communication

Qualifications

• Current Sophomore in a CS/CE/CIS/MIS undergrad program
• GPA 3.0+ required
• Disciplined with strong personal management and organization
• High technical aptitude and analytical skills
• Strong written and oral communication; proven teamwork
• Open to full-time internship during normal business hours
• US work eligibility without sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Build creative technical solutions to tackle complex problems within the business
• Assist in application development (AI, HTML, JavaScript, Data Design and Analytics, etc.)
• Work within a diverse team to deliver solutions using Scrum, Kanban, etc.
• Apply planning, analysis, detailed design, coding, and testing for software deployment
• Learn and apply Thrivent’s development standards and processes
• Perform day-to-day maintenance and troubleshooting under supervision
