Job summary

Thrivent in Minneapolis is seeking an Investments IT Application Engineer Intern to expand IT understanding and deliver software and data solutions within Thrivent’s Investments and Asset Management business. You will collaborate daily with Agile Scrum teams to develop, test, support, and enhance technology solutions.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an undergraduate degree with expected graduation between Dec 2027 and May 2028.
• GPA of 3.0+ preferred.
• Exposure to programming languages and software development concepts.

Responsibilities

• Assist design, development, enhancement, testing, and maintenance of software applications and data solutions.
• Support development with Python, Java, R, SQL and related tools.
• Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies including planning, standups, sprints, and retrospectives.
• Analyze and troubleshoot application, data, and system issues.
• Assist with testing software, APIs, integrations, and data workflows.
• Support data ingestion, transformation, validation, and reporting processes.
• Contribute to data pipelines, integrations, and automation solutions.
