Job summary

CAI is hiring a Software Developer Intern to support the development and maintenance of software applications. The role involves learning from real-world projects and expanding technical skills in a fully remote, 40-hour week internship.

The program runs June 7, 2027 through August 6, 2027, requiring availability during core hours 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. ET. US-based work only; no sponsorship. Ideal for a CS/Software Eng student with a solid GPA.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Development, Engineering, Geography/GIS, or a related field.
• Current Junior with a 3.5 GPA or higher.
• Experience with various programming languages.
• Proficiency in object‑oriented programming techniques.
• Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience with relational databases.
• Ability to write technical documentation clearly.

Responsibilities

• Develop, modify software applications of low complexity.
• Analyze user needs and develop software solutions.
• Design software for client use to improve efficiency.
• Code and modify applications from layout to function.
• Develop new features and maintain existing applications.
• Write testable, efficient code using best practices.
